The error that needs no translation, written in Japanese: 誤差 404 — コーヒーが見つかりません (coffee not found), brewを再起動しています (restarting brew), 準備中… (loading). It’s the Japanese-language take on the original Coffee Not Found tee — same terminal green, same dry joke, different keyboard. The back is the developer it happens to: Bert, shades on, laptop open, mug in reach, waiting for the brew process to come back up.
Dark only, on purpose: the terminal-green print needs a black screen to glow. Black, Pepper, Espresso — no light colorways in this collection.
The Design Story
Some errors are universal. This is the “coffee not found” message rendered entirely in Japanese terminal text, CRT green on a dark screen: 誤差 404 (error 404), コーヒーが見つかりません (coffee not found), brewを再起動しています (restarting brew), 準備中… (now loading). The English word brew sits right in the middle of the Japanese — the way real code mixes languages, and a small wink for anyone who reads both.
