The Design Story
The premise is simple. Before coffee, Bert is dead. Literally in a coffin, lid propped open, one arm reaching out with a mug. After coffee, he’s back. Sunglasses on. Ready. The “Dead” sits above him, “Before Coffee” below. Two words and a coffin — that’s the entire morning explained.
This is the third piece in the Halloween lineup alongside Coffee Is My Life’s Blood, Boo Life, and Brew or Treat. Each one takes a different angle on spooky season — vampire, ghost, trick-or-treater, and now the undead rising for a pour-over.
