Nothing else needed.
No Bert. No illustration. No tagline. Just a single bold kanji on both sides of a white ceramic mug and the quiet confidence of knowing what it means. The most minimalist piece in the collection — and the one people ask about most.
The Design Story
This is the quietest mug in the lineup — and the one with the most to say. 醸 (kamosu) sits large on both sides in bold brush calligraphy. Below it, two words: “To Brew.” At the bottom, a small “Coo Coo’s Coffee” in red. That’s it. No mascot, no pattern, no noise. Just black ink on white ceramic and a word that carries centuries of meaning.
It means transformation. The patient, deliberate kind — the way sake is brewed, the way flavors are coaxed from raw ingredients over time. We put it on both sides because it doesn’t matter which hand you pick it up with or which direction it faces on your desk. The character is always there. The reminder is always present. Brew with intention. See all Coffee Mugs →

Bert says: I’m not on this one. Just the kanji. I respect that kind of confidence.
