Iced Lavender Lemon Tea
Crisp, floral, and refreshing—gentle lavender syrup meets bright lemon over ice. Make it caffeine-free or black-tea bold.
Yield: 1 tall
Active: 10 min
Total: 10 min
Level: Easy
Keep lavender subtle and balance with fresh lemon.
Method
- Brew & chill: Brew tea strong (hot or cold-brew). Chill completely.
- Mix: In a pitcher or shaker, combine tea, lavender syrup, and lemon juice. Add a tiny pinch of salt to pop the citrus.
- Serve: Fill a tall glass with ice, pour over. Top with soda water for a spritz if desired. Garnish with lemon and lavender.
Lavender gets loud fast—add syrup gradually and taste. 1–2 drops of 20% saline = instant balance.
Tips
- Cold-brew tea = zero bitterness and extra clarity.
- Ceylon or Assam for brisk body; chamomile/rooibos for caffeine-free.
- Very cold glassware keeps dilution in check.
Variations
- Berry Twist: muddle 3–4 raspberries before ice.
- Sparkling Patio: 2:1 tea to soda water.
- Ginger Pop: swap soda for spicy ginger beer (reduce syrup).
Quick Lavender Syrup
Simmer ½ cup sugar + ½ cup water + 1 tsp culinary lavender buds for 2–3 min. Steep 10 min, strain, chill.
