Get the Most From Every Pour
A Christie candle is made to perform — the wax, the wick, the fragrance load, and the vessel are all chosen to work together. Four simple steps keep it burning clean and long from the first light to the last.

First Burn — Go the Full Melt PoolThe first burn sets the memory for every burn after. Let the wax melt fully to the edges of the vessel — usually 2–3 hours — before extinguishing. Skipping this causes tunnelling, and tunnelling wastes good candle.
Trim the Wick Before Every BurnKeep the wick at ¼ inch before each light. A long wick smokes, mushrooms, and throws the scent off. A sharp pair of scissors or a proper wick trimmer — both work fine.
Burn for 2–4 Hours at a TimeShort burns don't let the pool develop; very long burns overheat the vessel. Two to four hours is the sweet spot for throw, burn rate, and glass safety.
Stop at ½ Inch of Wax RemainingWhen ½ inch of wax is left in the vessel, retire the candle. Burning past this overheats the base and the glass. The vessel is reusable once cleaned out — good for plants, pens, or a mug for the desk.

Every candle in this shop is poured in small batches, tested for throw and burn time, and only sold once Christie is satisfied it performs the way she intends. Nothing gets to the market table on reputation alone.
